A VERY Mckenna Christmas!

It's Mckenna's first Christmas - being only 6 months+, we know that she can't really open any gifts yet. (although I'm sure that she will LOVE the excer-saucer Aunt Shannan and Grandma got her) But it is still a very special time for all of us. She is starting to sit up on her own and laughing. Boy is she laughing - it is the sweetest sound in the world. We can not get enough of it. We wish everyone a very Merry Christmas, and hope you have a wonderful New Year.

Happy Halloween!!!

My apologies for taking so long to post an update. I've started a new job :) - thank goodness - and everyone is busy. Travis and I have jobs we really like now - which makes leaving our bundle of love a little more bearable. Speaking of, Mckenna-bee is growing so fast! We thank each day we get a chance to kiss those sweet, sweet cheeks of hers.

Week 11

Here are some of the latest pictures of Mckenna. She had her 2 month check up (a little late) this past Friday. It was the one where she got a bunch of shots - not good. But Mckenna did very well - mommy didn't do so hot though!
Trav and I celebrated our 7th (can you believe it's been 7 GLORIOUS years already) anniversary this past weekend. Grandma Nece and Aunt Shannan spent time with Mckenna - and did an awesome job, by the way.

Sleepy Head Mckenna

She is sleeping much better now. After her nightly bath last night, I put her in her crib with her pacifier and she put herself to sleep! Plus she slept for 8 hours - she would have slept longer if we didn't wake her up to get her fed and ready to go. We are very excited. She is the best baby - but we may be a little biased.....

Mckenna Grace Wilken

Ok - so she arrived about 9 weeks ago and I've been procrastinating about putting up pictures of our precious little one. I just went back to work and it's been VERY hard - being with her for so long, and not being able to be there for her is a struggle right now. But we do what we have to do. I call the daycare all the time - I am try not to call them hourly.

Here are some of her latest pictures along with her picture from back in the hospital - when she was just 2 days old.

Daddy's "Little" Girl....

We found out on Tuesday that she weighs about 3400 grams - otherwise translates to - 7.5 pounds. She's 7.5 lbs. and still has 3 weeks left. Not that she could possibly have a weight problem already, but all the information online says that she should be a little over 6 pounds right now. "They" also say that the baby gains the most weight at the end - about a pound a week. Like the doc said - "Dad isn't a small guy." Mom isn't exactly petite either. And no, she didn't mean that Trav's fat. New meaning to Daddy's Little Girl...

Almost there.....

OK - only 3 weeks left for Baby Wilken watch 2007. But I have to admit, no one, and I mean no one in either of our families, (or even complete strangers for that matter) think I will go the full 3 weeks. Say a little prayer - I just hope I don't go into labor when Trav's out of town playing golf or something......

If this is any indication of how large our baby will be - it looks like I should have a pretty big baby. This pic is from my friend Jill's shower - she's the one on the far left - due in 4 weeks - her friend next to her is due in 2 weeks - I on the other end have 8 weeks to go - when this was taken on 4/29/07. And no, I'm not carrying twins.
